Lewis (Seth) Family memoirs [microform].

Judge Lewis practiced law in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana, and was Chief Justice of Mississippi Territory, 1800-1803, and attorney general, Natchez District, 1807-1808. He moved back to Louisiana in 1810, and died there on November 15, 1848. Also of interest is Mrs. Thomson's description of a summer on a Louisiana cotton plantation in 1832, and the sections dealing with Civil War experiences.
